AHEC Goes Hollywood for Annual Preceptor Recognition Ceremony


The Northeast Kentucky AHEC rolled out the red carpet (literally) for its most recent Preceptor Recognition Celebration.

The event, with a theme of "A Night at the Oscars," was held Nov. 14 at the Center for Health Education and Research in Morehead. The banquet featured a Wolfgang Puck-inspired menu and a four-piece band that played scores from Oscar-winning movies.  A paparazzi-type area was set up at which guests could take photos and life-sized cutouts of award-winning actors and actresses dotted the landscape.  

The Northeast Kentucky AHEC honored more than 250 preceptors at this event.  While only six received awards, all of the Northeast AHEC’s preceptors were acknowledged for their dedication to teaching health professions students.  The brightest shining stars of the night, however, were the following preceptors who were recognized for their outstanding service:
