Student Services Division Welcomes New Staff Members
The NE KY AHEC is happy to welcome one new and one returning staff member to the student services team. Jessica Caudill is returning as student services coordinator after a brief absence, and Rosalyn Brandon is joining the department as an educational assistant.
Caudill is a resident of Morehead and earned a master’s in wellness promotion from Morehead State University. She began as a student services educational assistant at the NE KY AHEC in 2013 and was promoted to continuing education administrator in 2014. In early 2015, Caudill transferred to the University of Kentucky AHEC Program Office to take the position of health careers coordinator.
“I am so thrilled to be back in the student services division. I have come full circle and I could not be happier for the opportunity to work with the students again,” Caudill said.
Brandon is a resident of Maysville and earned a master’s degree in community health education and promotion from the University of Cincinnati.
“The health care field is constantly in need of experienced professionals,” Brandon said. “I look forward to helping students achieve their health career goals, dreams, and ambitions. I am very excited to work at the Northeast AHEC with such an amazing group of people."
As student services coordinator, Caudill will be coordinating clinical rotations for both the third- and fourth-year University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Kentucky Rural Physician Leadership Program medical students. She will also be responsible for recruiting new clinical preceptors for NE KY AHEC students.
As an educational assistant, Brandon will act as a liaison between the NE KY AHEC and the Morehead State University nursing department, as well as assisting with clinical placements for students from various other colleges and universities.
Caudill and Brandon join long-time educational assistant Sue Russell in the NE KY AHEC’s three-person student services division.
