Journal Club is an ongoing RSS Program targeted to physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other health care professionals. It is presented free of charge by the Northeast AHEC. At the conclusion of the activity participants should be able to:
- Discuss current research and evidence as it is related to patient care and disease management.
- Identify basic techniques for evaluation of research including clinical data, study design, and outcome review.
- Specify the implementation of research in patient care.

All planners, speakers, authors, reviewers, and staff members involved with content development for continuing education activities sponsored by the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center are expected to disclose any real or perceived conflict of interest related to the content of the activity. For successful completion of this continuing education program, participants must sign appropriate attendance roster, be present for requested time of the program, and complete and return course evaluation before leaving. A statement of credit will not be issued for RSS programs, but a participation transcript is available upon request. Maximum 1 contact hour available for credit.
The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Northeast Kentucky AHEC designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
