Morbidity & Mortality is an ongoing RSS Program targeted to physicians, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, and other health care professionals. It is presented free of charge by the Northeast Kentucky AHEC. If you require special services for this activity, please indicate at time of registration or contact the continuing education administrator, KaSandra Hensley, by email or at 606.783.6830.
- Determine patient characteristics, disease characteristics, and type of treatment that are associated with risk of adverse events and death in a hospital.
- Review individual charts and ongoing teaching to understand the proper diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of life-threatening diseases at a community teaching hospital.
- Compare actual care against recommended care and standards to determine areas of care in need of improvement at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Northeast Kentucky AHEC designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The Northeast Kentucky AHEC designates this activity for a total of 0.1 CEUs. This is a live knowledge -based CPE Activity. ACPE Universal Program # 0193-0000-17-002-L01-P.
