Interdisciplinary Grand Rounds is an ongoing RSS Program targeted to physicians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals. At the conclusion of the activity participants should be able to: 
  • List potential causes of hypo- and hypernatremia
  • Discuss treatment options for both hypo- and hypernatremia
  • Select appropriate pharmacologic treatments based upon hyponatremia
  • classification
  • Calculate total body water deficit in the treatment of hypernatremia
  • Apply information for this presentation in clinical practice
  • Describe current research and evidence in education pertaining to medical practice.
  • Apply knowledge to clinical practice to improve patient and practice outcomes.
