Immunizations Conference

On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the NE KY AHEC, together with St. Claire Regional Medical Center, will host the Immunizations Conference at the CHER building in Morehead, KY.  The Immunizations Conference is targeted to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other interested health care professionals.  This free event is also providing up to 4.5 ACPE-P and ACPE-T continuing education contact hours.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for vaccination. 
  • Discuss the 2016 revisions to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes and other guidelines
  • Describe the immunization laws in Kentucky.
  • Discuss vaccine updates implemented from the fall of 2015 through 2016.
  • Recognize the prevalence of HPV infection in the United States and its link to HPVā€related cancers.
